Manfrotto Road Trip | International Ad Campaign | Befree Travel Tripod

I recently took a road trip with some really cool people.  But it wasn’t just any roadtrip.   I was hired to collaborate with The Bui Brothers and Adam Barker to produce an international ad campaign for Manfrotto‘s latest tripod, the BeFree Travel Tripod.

There is something so liberating about taking a road trip in an RV with a bunch of friends.  I guess that’s why Manfrotto decided to use that experience in their campaign.  Manfrotto’s newest tripod, the BeFree, was created as a lightweight compact tripod perfect for traveling.  And in an effort to convey its travel-worthy features, the Italian based company decided to do an entire advertising campaign centered around a road trip through some of the most breathtaking and scenic locations in California.  The premise of the campaign was to follow Adam Barker, a well-known and accomplished landscape photographer from Utah, around California as he used the BeFree tripod to take epic photos of iconic locations like Death Valley, Mono Lake, Big Sur, Santa Monica, Joshua Tree, and San Francisco.  While, The Bui Brothers were filming all of the amazing videos advertisements I was given the task of product photography and behind the scenes photography.  So any of the on-location photos that you see of the BeFree tripod or of Adam using the tripod were taken by me.

It’s such an amazing feeling to have, when you finally see all of your hard work come to fruition.  But as hard as it was, it’s still kind of difficult calling it work.  Traveling around California was a blast.  I’ve lived in SoCal almost my entire life, yet some of the locations we explored were new to me.  Like the Mesquite Dunes in Death Valley.  Who knew there were sand dunes in California!?  Or Mono Lake…that place is straight out of a science fiction movie.  Not to mention, we had an awesome crew accompanying us the whole way.  Simona and Lucca flew all the way here from Italy representing Manfrotto.  Having them there with us and knowing that they were having an incredible time made the trip even better.

Here’s a screen shot of Manfrotto’s website:

Keyways Vineyard and Winery Wedding Photography | Danie and Viv

Danie and Viv’s wedding at the Keyways Vineyard and Winery in Temecula was extraordinary in so many ways.  Not only was it a wedding to celebrate their love and union together, but it was also a chance for them to bid farewell to their families before moving to Singapore for the next three years.  Danie and Viv wanted to mix traditions by fusing their two family cultures together in a colorful and vibrant way.  It was really important to them that their celebration had a fun party atmosphere.  It was nothing short of that.  The whole day was filled with smiles and laughter and tears of joy.
