Peters Canyon turned out to be the perfect location for Itzel and Alex’s engagement photos. The tall grass and rolling hills blanketed with the afternoon sunlight proved to be an amazing backdrop for their romantic engagement photos.

Megan and Kevin met at the most magical place on earth. So we thought it would be appropriate to do their engagement photos there. Who knew how awesome Disneyland would be for engagement photography! The backdrops were so varied and colorful. It was perfect. And now they’ll always have these photos to remind them that they met at Disneyland.

It was so much fun wandering around the park with Megan and Kevin. It brought back all my childhood memories of going there with my family and taking in all the sights and sounds and smells that make Disneyland so special.

The location above is right next to Thunder Mountain. I LOVE THAT RIDE!! ”Hold on to them hats and glasses, cuz this here’s the wildest ride in the wilderness!”

We couldn’t leave without grabbing a quick photo in front of the Disneyland Castle!

Christina and James’ Travel Inspired Gender Reveal Baby Shower

I’ve decided to take over this week as a guest blogger so I hope you enjoy this special post! ~ Barbara Dieppa

Two years ago Christina Wright from Simply Modern Weddings planned our wedding, and since then has become like family to both Aaron and I . When we found out she was having a baby we were thrilled and have truly enjoyed sharing this special time with the both of them.

Christina and James wanted to wait to find out the gender of their baby, so they invited their family and close friends to a gender reveal so they all could find out together if they were going to have a spunky little girl or a swanky little boy.

The shower was planned by Yvett of So-Cal Dj, Heather of Paper-Monkey, and myself. We chose to have a travel theme since Christina and James love to travel, and enjoy being swept away to the Carribean and Italy. To incorporate this, we had paper plane centerpieces, a global themed photo booth, and a onsie design station which had phrase like “ ciao”, “ amore” and “beso” . To play off Christina’s love of modern design, the patterns we used were yellow chevron and ombre, which were weaved within the stationary, cake design and décor.

For the gender reveal we chose to have three balloons that were inside a chest. The three balloons signified the three wishes for the new little baby to be: health, happiness and love. And you can see by the smiling faces and tears in everyone’s eyes that this new baby to be will be blessed with those three wishes and more.

We are so excited to meet Christina and James little baby boy! Congrats again to the both of you, words can’t describe how happy we are for the both of you!

Connie and Erualdo’s wedding was vibrant with color and style. So much thought and effort went into planning every detail from the bridesmaid’s colorful bouquets, the groomsmen’s bow ties, the Mexican ceramic pottery with agave plants that decorated the outdoor reception, the cake made of hand painted tiles and the live mariachi music. Every detail came together seamlessly to create a look and feel that very much represented Connie and Erualdo, their families, and the love that they have for each other.
